The 2009 €16K Hans Molfenter Prize awarded to Joan Jonas by the city of Stuttgart for exceptional contribution to contemporary art. On the occasion of the award ceremony, July 21-22, 2009, Joan Jonas will perform "The Shape, the Scent and the Feel of Things" at the Staatstheater Stuttgart.
