4.322 Introduction to Sculpture - Three Dimensional Lateral Thinking

This studio course introduces issues in three dimensional forms such as sculpture, which in an expanded definition includes installation, environment, site context fabrication, and the object’s relation to the body. Introduces working with a variety of materials and techniques, with an emphasis on papier mâché. Lectures, readings, screenings, field trips supplement studio practice. Limited enrollment. Lab fee $65.
