The Inmate
2007
is an experimental intervention plus a video and attempts to make visible the emotional impact between three subjects (the citizen, her body as the inmate and the viewer of the video). In other words, the idea is to expose the public’s gaze, the artist’s desires to reveal and liberate her body from its natural state of delinquency – a state that had haunted her since her brother was incarcerated, and last the viewer is left to confront with a myriad of questions and emotions.
